Okay, let's get down and dirty.
The plans for the New Year, I need to make some kind of money while enjoying and being able to create. My husband is not very understanding about my "hobby", they don't really have hobbies here in Greece. So what am I going to do, well, I am making something for my SIL and she is going to "buy" it, then I hope to make a Zibbet account, it is like Etsy, but free, I need the free part right now. SO that's the long term goal for the year.

January Goals:
Finish my messenger bags for my nephews, and make a valentines table runner all using the Easy ABC's patterns from Blossom Heart Quilts and linking to her final linky party on January 13th.

ReplyDeleteevery once in a while I manage to make some money sewing, but like you for the most part it's a hobby. I dont' want to spend money setting up an etsy account! :p great goals though!

ReplyDeleteMara I wish you luck with your goals and hope you sell some things too. You might want to design your own patterns and create a pdf to sell them on Craftsy too. I have a few patterns I sell there. I certainly am not raking in any serious money though, :0( But a few sales a year is better than nothing.
ReplyDeleteWow Mara - you have way more goals than I do for the year. My goal every single year is to finish more UFOs. I never meet that goal - saves me the trouble of thinking up a new goal every January. :) Seriously, I think you're going to have so much fun! blessings, marlene

I too hope to be able to sell a few of my makes by the end of the year, although I'm being pretty realistic about how little money it's likely to give me. Another of my goals is to make matching dresses for my daughters in time for the summer, what do you reckon? Four months enough?
ReplyDeleteI guess I need to go get the book, I looked at it but the purpose is the Bee and I wasnt interested but I should look at the patterns. Also I am going to join the FAL;, I am doing one with Bittersweet anyway....... the page I am sending has some great Valentine fabric in it too. We need to get you a sponsor, you would be great !
